The lovely Cinti from My Poppet has put me onto this great site called Craftsy. It is site entirely devoted to selling craft patterns which can be instantly downloaded.
Just sign up, have your paypal details ready and your patterns in pdf form and you can sell for FREE, yes FREE. No joining fee, no listing fee, no success fee. Even better your pattern never expires, no relisting required!
Needless to say I joined up immediately...these are a few new patterns I have listed today...
And of course you can sign up to buy all the lovely patterns too. Best of all for BUYERS is that there are lots of FREE patterns to download too.
This is the main reason I joined so finally my Free Babushka cross stitch pattern (shown on the right) is easy to be downloaded and the link never changes!
The Free Bunny hama/cross stitch pattern is there too.
This is going to encourage me to list FREE PATTERNS more often as it is now they are so easy for you to access.
Now I need to organised and start making my felt projects into pdf patterns...first up is the felt mushroom pattern which I am halfway through....
.....I think I will have a giveaway for this one when it is ready. So keep checking into my blog or facebook page for details.
In the meantime go and check out Craftsy and all the FREE patterns. Your next craft project is waiting for you!

Free Babushka cross stitch pattern......download glitch fixed!
About a year ago a I posted an update on my Babushka Sampler pattern and included this freebie cross stitch pattern......
The place I was hosting the file is now asking $5 to download it......EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!
So after much googling ang playing around I have found Issuu which will host my pdfs for free - how fabulous.
So here is the new link to the definitely free pattern. I have also fixed the link on the original post.
When you open the document just hover near the bottom until the print icon pops up and then you can print it out!
This pattern is free for you to use on your own projects and you can even sell the stitched design if you fancy - but it would be great if you could include a link to my blog!
I know you wouldn't but I have to say it...please don't sell the pattern. Freebies are so nice it would be a shame to abuse the privilege. Thank you!
P.S I would love to see a photo your finished pieces using my pattern...pretty please.

Babushka Embroidery Hoop
I have a million projects buzzing around in my head at the moment and most of them are for my daughter's room. It is lovely to have a litte girl to make for.
I am making a series of embroidery hoops to hang in her room. This is the first one...
Just a reminder you can find a free Babushka doll cross stitch pattern (a sister to the above one) on my blog here.
As promised I am trying to use and recycle existing craft supplies and here I have used a jute bag as my background to stitch on. This is what I started with...
I thought I would share with you how I made & framed it.
I used a half cross stitch (or tapestry stitch as I call it) and I love the 'rustic' look that the uneven weave of the bag material creates.
After I had finished stitching I took the outer hoop I am using to frame it and using the inner edge of the outer hoop traced 2 circles onto card and cut them out.
I placed the canvas on top of the inner hoop and just fiddled until I thought it was centred, then pressed down around the edge of the hoop to leave a dent and ensure the doll was in the middle.
Then I added the outer ring and secured it tightly and flipped it over and now you can see all my messiness at the back!
Then I added a piece of card and trimmed the edge of my canvas - not very evenly but it will do the trick!
Then using 6 strands of embroidery thread I used a gathering stitch to pull the back together and knotted tightly at the end.
Then I place the second piece of card over the back and pressed down hard forcing it so it stays in place. Because I used a thick fabric this worked really well but it is probably a good idea to use some glue on the back of the card and then place some weight on it to dry and set.
Now this is probably not exactly how it should be done but you know me I am already eyeing up the next project so if I don't finish things quickly they won't get done!
Now what to start next......
